Hearing your tone as the audience hears it is critical to live performance. The Hartke Kickback bass combo rocks back 45 degrees to deliver sound right up to your ears for accurate midrange and high-end feedback to inform your playing. The Kickback is a powerful stage amp in a compact size with a 12" HyDrive paper/aluminum speaker and 500 watts of power. Kickback cab design projects sound on axis or at an angle

Traditional instrument amplifiers are great for projecting sound toward the audience from onstage. But if you've ever stood over one while playing, you'll know a good portion of your tone doesn't make it up to your ears. The Hartke Kickback stands up like a traditional amp when you have accurate monitoring, and when you need it, tilts back 45 degrees to accurately represent your stage tone.

Shape control gives a one-touch boost at 100-900Hz

The Kickback combo amp has a Shape control in addition to its 3-band EQ to enhance a selected frequency range with the press of a button. This is helpful when you want a bass boost or low-mid bump for a certain section of a song without disrupting your EQ settings. Cycle between 100-900Hz to define the sound you want, then engage any time your tone needs a little sweetening.

Lightweight and easy to gig with

The Kickback is designed to be a gig-friendly option for touring and traveling musicians. A patented HyDrive speaker made from aluminum and paper, a plywood cabinet, and a 500-watt Class D power amp all help to keep weight down for night-after-night portability.

Hartke Kickback Bass Combo Amplifier Features:
  • Kickback design projects sound on axis or tipped back at a 45-degree angle
  • 12" HyDrive paper/aluminum speaker with a rare earth neodymium magnet for deep lows and midrange bite
  • 500W peak/250W RMS for good stage amplification
  • Compact plywood cab and Class D amplifier reduce weight for portability
  • 3-band EQ and sweepable Shape control to quickly dial in tones
  • Balanced XLR output for sending a stage signal straight to a soundboard or recorder
  • Silent headphone amp for late-night practice
  • 1/4" speaker output (4 Ohms)
Hear your tone as the audience does with the Hartke Kickback Bass Combo Amplifier!

A huge amp in a little cabinet

I cannot believe the clarity of this amp. I work 46 weeks a year on stage. This amp has the lows for the punch you need and a perfect mix of highs and mids for a healthy crispness and clarity. This amp is perfect for any casino or moderate size stage.

Worth every penny

Literally blown away by the sound and volume of this pint sized bass amp. FYI, I have a 1100 watt stack with 8 10s but i wanted something to put in my living room to make it easier to just pick up a bass anytime without having to run down to the basement where the big amp is. I also thought I should get something with enough power for small gigs but it needs to sound nice. Not like some cheap practice amp. This thing has a marvelous tone, plenty of power and only 28 lbs. Incredible. Also, at the sale price, they sold out. I had to wait 10 days for them to come back in, 2 days later, they are sold out again. Its sounds so good, I'm rethinking my big amp. I may have to pick up some hydrive cabs as well.

Road hoarse

Absolutely amaaaaazing for a 12 speaker. Crystal clear, butt kicking bottom end and light as a feather. Never thought it would be this good. (Much better and cheaper than the single 12 mark bass that's double the price) Keep in mind, it's a single 12 lol.

Nothing else like it; perfect for my needs.

I received this amp from Sweetwater as a birthday present from my band. It is replacing a much beloved older Hartke Kickback 15 that I have been using for the last 5+ years. I have a bad back and could barely lift the old almost 50-pound Hartke. This is the perfect solution; 28 pounds and a lot of power. I play both a passive Fender Precision and an active Ibanez Talman. This works for both. I can barely turn up the amp when using the Ibanez. I appreciate the simple controls (the same as my old Harke). So far it has been wonderful in practice and performance; both inside and outside. The smaller footprint helps on small stages as I play sitting down, run sound, have foot pedals, a music stand, and sometimes a monitor. Thank you Hartke.

I love this little combo amp

Consistently amazed at this little amp. Originally I bought two, one for practice and daisy chained two together for gigs. Found out one was plenty. Always! So i sold one. The amp sounds great! Plenty loud. light weight. Had nine about 4 years with no problems whatsoever. I something happened to it, I would immediately buy another.
