How are these so good!?

I got these as a gift for my sister. When I opened the box, I was surprised at how big they are. To me, they look like a 50's interpretation of a space age mind reader. They seemed to be constructed quite well. At first, my sister put them on and she hated them because of what seemed to be a lack of all bass, so I went to try them to see what she was talking about. These things do not lack base at all. It is not very boomy, but I would describe it as more controlled. Definitely not boosted a lot, like some other headphones out there. The second thing I noticed is the incredible amount of detail this thing puts out. I can pick out the different instruments as if these were 3 or 4 times more money. they sound well balanced as well. I then thought about how lightweight these were, and how comfortable they were. It is truly incredible that a headphone of this size could be this comfortable. there is plenty of room inside the earcups, and the strap-sling system for the headband is also very comfortable. after a little while, I forgot I was wearing them! So, after I told my sister she wasn't hearing it correctly, she sat up and tried them again. She immediately noticed a difference and was very happy with the present. Overall, I would completely recommend these to nearly anyone out there, except for maybe people who want overstimulating amounts of bass. In the studio or at home, these headphones will not disappoint!

Good headphones

These headphones are comfortable, have a long enough cord, sound pretty good, and would work well for tracking . I have several sets of headphones and these will probably become my main tracking headphones for my home studio. Decent bass response. Relatively flat which is good.
