Beautiful Bass

My Boyfriend had been shopping for a left handed bass for awhile you guys had a great looking piece at a great price. So far he is really enjoying it.

Really great Bass for the price.

One thing should be noted before buying this bass. The pictures on the site show the bass as a black color even though it's listed as Walnut. In actuality the bass is a really nice light brown wood. And the fingerboard is absolutely beautiful. I really do think the pictures should he updated to actually show how good this bass looks visually.

Pros
•Slim neck
•Beautiful fretboard
•The bass boost tone nob can really give you that really distorted fat sound if you use a good distortion. I think it goes pretty well with the Darkglass Alpha Omicron if you're making some techno or electronic bass parts that knob will you a huge boost

Cons
•One of the tone knobs got loose very easily and I actually sent my first one back because of that and a finish problem and the new one still has the knob problems.
•The bass boost knob. Now I praised it in the pros section but just for the one specific thing. If you use this for anything without distortion it completely ruins the tone and just muddies it up in a bad way.

And that's about it. I really do like this bass and I am using it more than any of my other instruments currently so I would definitely say if you're on the fence about getting it to go ahead and do it.

Great with better strings

Bought this for my girl friend. At first my overall impression was: "meh." But I figured at least it's cheap. Very shortly after getting this brand new bass the e string broke. The GF was in tears. So I ran to the local guitar shop and purchased a set of D'addario EXL165 strings, as per their recommendations. Obviously whatever Ibanez put on was junk (broke and sounded and played horribly.) The new strings made this guitar come alive with tone and character. Differences in tone between bridge and neck pickups became very distinct. Much more sustain, bend, overall control and playability. Much easier on the fingers. She doesn't have to press as hard and no more buzz.
