As whimsical as “Function Junction” is, Sweetwater synthesists have found the name to be quite fitting for just how many functions and possibilities this 16HP rack piece is capable of delivering. Co-developed with Pittsburgh Modular, this module features dedicated sections for ASDR, many-function-generation, LFOs, a mixer, loopers, and more. The Function Junction really shines through the fact that its four dedicated segments stand strong on their own, allowing you to utilize the 16 patch ports to be as integrated or independent as you like. Moreover, its straightforward design scheme clearly and intuitively articulates the functionality of each knob, port, and section, eliminating the abstract and convoluted nature and utility that plagues many multi-function modules.

Multi-functionality with great attention to detail
Cre8audio teamed up with Pittsburgh Modular to bring you a truly robust many-functions-in-one module. By itself, the Function Generator operates as an envelope generator, a voltage-controlled LFO, a slew generator, a gate signal delay, an envelope follower, a clock source, a voltage-controlled clock divider, a complex modulation source, and more. The 4-stage ASDR circuit operates with independent controls, and the accompanying envelope looping features can be manually toggled or gate-controlled. LFO outs come in two flavors: square and triangle. The final section is the 3-channel attenuverting mixer, which features an OR circuit, and can be used as 3 independent attenuverters, one attenuverter with a 2-channel mixer, or a 3-channel mixer. When it’s not being used as a mixer, each channel is normalled to one of the three other functions, enabling an additional output for each section (on top of its attenuverting functions). The Function Junction is a fantastic addition to any modular setup and must be experienced to glimps its full potential!
