The Guild Doyle Dykes Signature Rosewood acoustic-electric guitar gives you the rich tone and articulation you need for fingerstyle playing. To create this superb axe, Guild master luthier Ren Ferguson worked closely with Mr. Dykes, a renowned fingerpicker and tone maven. The body style is a cutaway version of Guild's venerable F-47 with a solid AAA red spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, fast 3-piece neck, buttery ebony fingerboard, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and LR Baggs electronics. The Guild Doyle Dykes Signature Rosewood's body is based on a classic, Guild's own F-47, only slightly shallower. The grand orchestra ("mini jumbo") is revered for its combination of big, rich, balanced tone and comfort. The generous lower bout is complimented by a narrow waist, which gives you stunning headroom and dynamic range, robust bass, focused mids, and the superior articulation that's critical for fingerstyle playing. The graceful cutaway gives you easy access to all 20 frets, all the way up the smooth-playing 3-piece neck and buttery ebony fingerboard.

Guild knows that the choice of top wood can make or break the sound of an acoustic guitar. For the Doyle Dykes Signature Rosewood, Guild chose a solid AAA-grade red spruce top. Chosen as much for its look as its tone, solid spruce has a bold sound with excellent projection. And because it's a solid-wood top, the tone of your Doyle Dykes Signature will age gracefully, with enhanced harmonics and greater tonal balance as the years go by.

Doyle Dykes's signature guitar is crafted to his exact specifications, and the results are breathtaking, both sonically and visually. The eye candy begins with the AAA-grade red spruce top, finished in a subtle dark tint and wearing a tone-enhancing gloss nitro finish. Then there's the exquisitely tasteful appointments: the abalone-inlaid rosette and ebony bridge, the richly bound ebony fingerboard with its D-55-style abalone/mother-of-pearl inlays offset and rotated 90 degrees, the gold-plated Gotoh tuners with black buttons.
