Six Studio-quality Reverbs

The MXR Reverb pedal delivers six evocative reverb types in a compact, low-noise, stereo-capable pedal. The expression pedal input allows you to blend between two different setting configurations for mega creative performance potential. Best of all, the delay trails mode lets the reverb effect fade out when you switch the pedal off, instead of cutting off the reverb abruptly. Guitarists at Sweetwater agree, the MXR Reverb pedal packs studio-quality reverb effects into a compact pedal.

MXR Reverb Pedal at a Glance:
  • 6 reverb styles yield an excellent selection of ambient sounds
  • Use an expression pedal to create outrageous effects
  • Trails Bypass mode lets your reverbs ring out
6 reverb styles yield an excellent selection of ambient sounds

The MXR Reverb pedal is packed with six types of reverb: Plate, Spring, Epic, Mod, Room, and Pad. Plate emulates the bright, dense sound and smooth decay of the vintage studio effect. Spring yields classic guitar amp reverb. Epic creates a massive sound built from multiple interconnected modulated delays. Mod is a modulated studio plate reverb. Room simulates a small room with an early reflection slapback sound. Pad is a blend of higher and lower octave synth sounds combined with a reverb effect.

Use an expression pedal to create outrageous effects

You can employ an expression pedal to toggle between two different settings. Connect the expression pedal to the MXR Reverb pedal's Exp jack with a TRS cable and place it in the heel-down position. Set the controls. Move the expression pedal to the toe-down position. Reconfigure the controls. Now you can rock the expression pedal back and forth to sweep between the two configurations.

Trails Bypass mode lets your reverbs ring out

The MXR Reverb pedal is true bypass by default - shutting the effect off completely bypasses the pedal's circuitry. While this is great for your tone when you're not using the pedal, it has the unfortunate side effect of cutting of your reverb tails. That's why MXR included a selectable Trails Bypass mode, which uses a buffered bypass, allowing your reverbs to ring out even after you turn the pedal off.

MXR Reverb Pedal Features:
  • Reverb effects pedal for electric guitar
  • 6 reverb modes: Plate, Spring, Epic, Mod, Room, and Pad
  • Use optional expression pedal (sold separately) to manipulate the Blend control
  • Trails Bypass mode preserves your reverb tails
  • Operates in either Mono or Stereo mode for interfacing with different gear
  • Includes ECB003 9V power supply (this pedal cannot be powered by a battery)
Add six studio-quality reverbs to your pedalboard with the MXR Reverb pedal.

MXR M300 Digital Reverb Pedal

Great pedal, better than expected, does what it's supposed to do, nice sound all around and not bogged down with too many choices. If you just want simple reverb pedal with no frills, get this.

MXR Reverb

This reverb sound better than any reverb I used, I used a Boss reverb....it was ok but when I used the MXR Reverb.....WOW!

Great pedal

Love this pedal. Very well built and easy to use. Very wide range of reverb available. Perfect for making up for the weak reverb on my DSL100H.

BOOMER USER FRIENDLY

I finally got a chance to demo my new MXR Reverb pedal! Wow! It has 6 great usable reverb presets which are individually tweak-able for your preference. Easy to navigate even for an old dog with 41+ years of live performance experience. I'm using it in a worship / praise band with a side of original music. It adds just the right sweetening to perk up the ears of the congregation. If you want a pedal that you will use all the time this is it! Priced right and built like a tank. You won't let this pedal grow dust in your bag of tools. It can add just a touch of presence or much more with a twist of a knob. Mike Picotte at Sweetwater was of course ever on the ball with sage advice and customer service second to none in the business. I may Look elsewhere but if Sweetwater sells it I will order it here for customer service excellence, speed of delivery and extended warranty. If Sweetwater doesn't carry a particular item I will call Mike to see what he suggests as an alternative. I know if I buy with Sweetwater they have already done their homework and they only sell pro gear! Sweetwater RULES!

Great for Acoustic too!

I have a Eventide H9 Max that I use live 3-4 days a week and love it! But when I just need a simple set up or just take one pedal for a acoustic, this thing is flat out Rawkin! Super quite, extremely detailed and flat out one of the best. I've tried many under $350 and this takes the cake!! I've used this on electric straight into a Marshall too! Unbelievable sounds! I use the Pad setting a lot and love it!!!

Sweetwater Advice

MXR Reverb

The spring reverb, in particular, sounds convincing enough to justify a permanent place for the MXR Reverb....[It] sounds good on the receiving end of gnarly fuzz tones that can make a lot of digital reverbs sound like crap....The plate reverb is also very good. I really enjoyed darker settings with short decay times and an aggressive mix - a nice zone for lo-fi, garage-Spector tone textures....
