The Best Cajon Pedal Around

DW calls the 5000CJ the best cajon pedal on the market - and Sweetwater is tempted to believe them. If you're already familiar with the 5000 series' acclaimed Delta-hinge split footboard and smooth chain action, you'll adapt to the DW 5000CJ in minutes. The remote cable enables you to sit on your cajon as you play it. This is perfect for the dextrous percussionist to the guitarist who wants to accompany themself as they perform. A soft, squat beater serves up smooth, controlled bass beats without getting in the way of hands. And an included bracket mounts the beater securely to the soundboard.

DW 5000CJ Remote Cajon Pedal Features:
  • A cajon pedal worthy of the DW 5000 name
  • Perfect for percussionists to guitarists
  • Soft beater serves up warm, smooth bass tones
  • Remote cable lets you sit on your cajon as you play it
  • Mounting bracket attaches beater to your cajon's soundboard
  • Split footboard with Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge plays like an old favorite
  • Chain driven for a smooth response
Invest in a pedal that's made for the cajon: the DW 5000CJ!

sweeeeeet! cajon pedal

Awesome pedal!!! Love it. If you're looking for a cajon pedal this one is worth checking out totally worth the price. I have used other cajon pedals and have been plagued by broken cables on the cheaper version pedals. The DW pedal is solid out of the box.

DW Cajon Pedal

I love the way this operates and sounds with the cajon mic'd, however I can't understand why DW would make a pedal without spurs to hold it in place on a drum rug. I used it at a gig for the first time last night. I was also using the DW Ultralight high hat. Without a rug, the high hat wouldn't stay in place at all, so I had to use one. On a rug, the pedal wouldn't stay in place. It kept creeping forward and even started pulling the beater piece with it a few times. During our 1st break, I ended up having to cut a chunk out of my drum rug in order to make a place for it to rest directly on the floor. Since it has a grip surface on the bottom, it stayed in place much better with no rug. Suggestion to DW: put some adjustable spurs on this pedal, like on your DW5000 bass drum pedal. What were you thinking? I haven't decided yet whether to try a Velcro-type product to see if it will help it grip a rug, as many venues I play have carpet already, which I can't cut into, or return it and get the Schlagwerk cajon pedal, which has spurs on both pieces and a base to hold it in place.
