bodyRez

One of the best I.ve tried of all TCElectronics pedals. Great for acoustic-electric guitars. The compression is superior. It works well not only on 6 string guitars, but on 12 strings and ukuleles as well. You can get intriguing tone settings on the last two as well. It is a "Must Use" for me now in all my playing. It even works on semi-hollowbody electrics!

Nice Pedal

Changed my tone for the better on my Martin. It warmed up the sound to a pleasing tonality through my P.A. I highly recommend this pedal for all acoustic players.

Body Rez Mini Pedal

I tested this pedal with several different guitars and was impressed by some of the differences. The guitars used are as follows: Guild F40CE / Under Saddle P/U Gibson Hummingbird / Fishman Rare Earth Sound Hole P/U Taylor 614ce / Taylor Expression System Rickenbacker 650 D Electric / Rickenbacker Humbuckers My pedal board consists of the following in order from guitar tp PA / AMP Body Rez Compressor Power Boost Delay Reverb The setting on the pedal was with the knob at 1:00. I found that the effect was not as pronounced as I expected, which in my opinion is a good thing since I subscribe to the fact that "less is more". With the under the saddle pickup I found that the effect was the greatest and it completely removed the tinniness of the pick up completely which is the desired effect. Used with the sound hole pick up the effect was there, but less pronounced. Again, a good thing. Using the Taylor, the effect was as expected as the TC Demo was done using a Taylor. The reverse polarity setting on this pedal to eliminate low end feedback works perfectly. Now I no longer have that issue. The Mute to change instruments without the PA Pop is also a great feature which allows me to free up some real estate on my pedal board since I used an inline tuner only for this purpose. I personally prefer the clip-on tuners. Now for the surprise.... I tested the Bpdy Rez with my Rickenbacker 650 C and found that in made the guitar sound more like an acoustic instrument which I found to be interesting. Over all, this pedal works for me as it enhances the acoustic sound, and when needed eliminates the low end feedback as it is intended to do.

Aptly named Great little pedal

So I got my Body Rez from TC. Just to give you some context. I play covers Pop & Rock. I use a PRS P22 with Piezo pickups & regular pickups in it & an Ovation Celebrity. For one band I will use both pickups in the PRS sending the regular to my amp & the Piezo to the PA. For the songs I use it on It really fills things out & all of a sudden we have an extra player in the band. I also play in an acoustic group where I will use the P22 piezo for covers by Journey & the like as it is much easier playing a solo on that especially when you run out of frets on an acoustic. Though my sound coming from the PA is really thin I was never happy with it but it is what it is. Well this little baby really does the trick in taking that thin sound and giving it some Body & resonance. It is aptly named. When I roll the 1 knob on Body rez clockwise it is like dialing in More body and sound. Kind of like starting out with a plastic kids guitar, moving to a smaller body guitar then a full body guitar. It does that. It also has a great feature where you can mute the guitar. This way if I’m gigging & a conga line breaks out like they do if I’m tethered by my piezo cord I can easily unplug without the sound guy wanting to kill me. This thing is small it is just a little bigger than the power supply. So if you don’t have a lot of real estate at your feet this thing is great. Final word if you are not happy with your acoustic sound, feel it’s sounding thin coming out of PA speakers this little box will help it sound like an acoustic guitar sounds to your ears. Well worth $99.00.

One Knob Is Enough

First off, let me say, I love when something simple makes an indelible mark; in this case, when a processor with one knob just works. I am a worship leader and an electric guitarist at heart, but I play a Taylor 110ce weekly at my church's more laid back mid-week service. It's a great guitar, but the under-saddle pickup system is simply OK (as are most). I bought this little pedal and the moment I plugged it in it was like a whole other world in regards to the direct guitar sound. Could the sonic changes be had with compressor and graphic EQ pedals? Certainly, and with greater fine control, but I can't come up with a sonic detail I would change after having run my acoustic guitar through this pedal that it doesn't already do with the turn of ONE KNOB and the footprint of half a regular stompbox. Pick one up. I doubt you'll be disappointed. The only reason I could see for someone to dislike what this pedal does is if they're completely satisfied with the sound they're getting from their instrument or if they are a knob tweaker and want fine-grained control. Cheers!
