Affordable Price, Expensive Sound!

The B1 condenser mic is an excellent do-all general purpose recording mic, great for close-miking amplifiers or for production, broadcast, and voice over work. It also makes a quality vocal mic suitable for all vocal styles. The B1 is a large diaphragm cardioid microphone in a pressure-gradient transducer employing high-quality transformerless design and extremely low noise. It will enhance any professional or project studio application at an unbelievable low price. For anyone looking to enter the world of high-quality recording without spending a small fortune, the B1 is a perfect fit!

Being versatile is the key in the recording arena, and the Studio Projects B1 is no exception. Equipped with a true 1" 3 micron gold sputtered large diaphragm in a pressure gradient transducer capsule, the B1 will deliver the finest quality of vocal and instrumentation recordings in a wide variety of applications while offering a natural extended transparent high end, yet offer the thick bodied low end expected from a quality microphone.

Studio Projects increased capsule voltage for all large diaphragm solid-state mics resulting in higher sensitivity, better signal to noise ratio, and increased low-mid and low-end response (a "rounder" sound). All Studio Projects mics have higher quality capacitors in high impedance sections for improved audio quality. The B1 now features two discrete 3-way switches to select two levels of pad (- 10dB, -20dB) and two highpass filters (75Hz, 150Hz). The result — cardioid only mics now have 9 operating modes!

Studio project b1 mic

Fantastic mic, I want to get another.

Great mic

I have used other condensers at this price and this one is be far the best. I used it as a drum over head and for vocals and i was shocked at how well it preformed. Very bright so know what you are getting yourself into but it would suggest this to anyone looking for a budget large diaphragm condenser.

Studio Projects B1

As close to the AKG 414 that I could find in a price point I can afford. Blew away the sm57 condenser I have. Vocals Acoustic guitars - Marshall stack.. all excellent. spent time on checking this out. All ratings are 4.5 to 5's. Have to spend 10x the amount to get better than this.

This mic is just professional. My first Condenser mic. I have little experience with large condenser microphones, but the quality is great.

Too Good To Be True!!

I just decided to use the SP B1 on a gospel song after having it for 3 years. I have been using my more expensive because I was skeptical about the quality of sound from a cheap condenser. But when I fired this thing up and set my reverb the B1 was amazingly clear and breathtaking. It sound as good as some of my more expensive microphone condensers. Normally the saying goes you get what you pay for, but with this B1the saying is far from the truth. The B1 is an exception and is very impressive for the buck.
