Operating as a single broadband processor or as a full-scale multiband processor, Flux:: Alchemist v3 offers up to five individual bands of complete dynamics processing. All of Alchemist v3's bands work in parallel, employing independent Angel's share and Hysteresis parameters for each band. Angel's share controls the amount of auto-ratio determined by the signal dynamics and by the manual ratio setting. Hysteresis controls the amount of auto-threshold determined by the signal dynamics and by the manual threshold value. Angel's share and Hysteresis are what set Flux:: plug-ins apart from other dynamics processors. Rather than simply using signal levels, Flux:: plug-ins use the dynamic range content of the signal, resulting in a professional, well-mastered sound.
Preset and parameter handling results in an enhanced workflowThe two Preset/Parameter slots can be loaded with two full sets of parameters simultaneously, resulting in a quick, intuitive workflow. Apart from saving each preset, a global preset containing both sets of parameters can be saved. Additionally, the parameter Morphing Slider allows you to morph between the parameter sets, providing ultra-fast operation, even when utilizing many parameters. This opens the door for some seriously creative and useful real-time tweaking. On top of that, the Morphing Slider can be automated!
