At the core of AX2 is the ONYX lighting platform, celebrated for its speed, scalability, and modern workflow. The AX2 is equipped with an industrial Intel i5 Hexa-Core CPU, a high-speed NVMe SSD, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, providing quick boot times, immediate command response, and the capacity to process 32 universes directly within the console—no external nodes or servers needed. Built-in support for Art-Net, sACN, and ONYX X-Net, along with SMPTE and MIDI, makes AX2 ideal for timecode-driven shows, synchronized multimedia environments, and complex touring setups. The included DYLOS Media Engine offers five zones of pixel control, delivering powerful tools for pixel mapping and visual effects right from the start.
Flexible connectivity, control, and expansion
AX2’s control surface is built around clarity and speed. The high-brightness 15.6-inch full-HD touchscreen provides clear visual feedback in bright environments, while the 3.5” internal RGB touchscreen gives quick access to parameter groups, effects, and global timing controls. Ten 60mm playback faders with assignable buttons keep cues, chases, and effects within reach, while eight encoders—four physical, four screen-mounted—allow precise fixture control.
