Pearl Export
Pearl Export Series Acoustic Drums
Credited for launching the careers of thousands of top professional drummers, Pearl Export Series drums are the best-selling drum sets of all time. And the reason for their popularity is clear — an incredible sound at a great price! While the Pearl Export Series is aimed at beginning and developing players, Pearl Export Series drum sets don’t skimp on tone or features. They present a solid platform on which to practice your chops, and they fare admirably onstage. Drummers at Sweetwater know that some beginner drum sets can frustrate the learning process with shoddy construction and sub-par sonics. But not so with the Pearl Export Series. You’ll love sitting behind your Pearl Export Series drum kit as you venture forth on your drumming journey!
Superior Shell Technology
Pearl Export Series drums rely on a tonewood cocktail of mahogany and poplar to provide a balanced sound that’s appropriate for a range of genres and styles — poplar delivers brightness and attack, while mahogany contributes warmth and depth. The shells of the Pearl Export Series are constructed using Pearl’s proprietary Superior Shell Technology, which combines Pearl’s hyper-strong Acoustiglue and one thousand pounds of hydraulic pressure to create a multi-ply shell with the sonic behavior of a thick single-ply — focused and fat! Additionally, Super Shell Technology uses precision-cut scarf joints, providing eight times more surface contact than standard scarf joints. Pearl is so confident in the Export Series shells’ durability that they offer a limited lifetime warranty!
Opti-Loc Mounting System
To ensure stability and reduce wobble, Pearl Export Series toms are equipped with Pearl’s unique Opti-Loc mounting system. The Opti-Loc mounting system on the Pearl Export Series has a three-point design, with two tension rod attachment points. Each connection point is fitted with a rubber isolator, which minimizes energy transfer and lets your toms ring out freely, increasing sustain and improving the resonance of the Pearl Export Series toms.
Pearl 830 Series Hardware
Shell packs only represent a portion of the cost of purchasing a drum kit. When budgeting, you also need to factor in the price of drum hardware — including cymbal stands, snare stands, and a kick pedal. However, many of the Pearl Export Series drum sets offer an 830 Series hardware package with high-quality double-braced tripod stands featuring infinitely adjustable Uni-Lock tilters. On top of that, when you purchase a Pearl Export Series drum set, you get a responsive P-830 bass drum pedal, which takes its design cues from Pearl’s renowned Demon Drive and Eliminator pedals.
