Q: I’ve been buying some downloads of DSD-format recordings off the web, and I see that some are coming in with a .dff extension and some have a .dsf extension. What’s the difference? Should I try to get them in one type or the other?
A: The only difference is that .dsf format DSD files can be/are tagged with metadata, while .dff are not tagged.
