Q: I want to update the operating system on my Roland Integra-7, which you do by transferring a file from your computer onto a USB thumb drive, then plugging the thumb drive into the Integra-7. The Thumb drive has to be formatted for the Integra. The problem is that my Mac isn’t seeing the thumb drive, so I can’t transfer the file over. Is the Mac not compatible with the Integra-7 formatting?
A: An Integra-7-formatted thumb drive will work fine in either a Mac or a PC. There must be something else at work here. We’ve occasionally seen this type of behavior with certain USB hubs; try plugging the thumb drive directly into a USB port on your computer.
