Celemony has released version 1.0.2 of the Melodyne plug-in. This service update delivers increased overall performance and stability. The RAM usage has been optimized, which leads to improved overall stability, especially when working with larger files and multiple instances of Melodyne plug-in. Depending on the source material the detection feature now works up to four times faster. Graphic issues have been solved that were causing grey or transparent windows within certain hosts. There are several other bug fixes and improvements, making this a highly recommended update, particularly for users who have had problems.
Cakewalk announced the availability of a free update for Z3TA+, which now includes Native Windows Vista support (fully compliant in all Vista editions) and support for x64 binaries. Z3TA+ now ships with x64 binaries for DXi and VSTi formats, for use in compatible x64 hosts such as SONAR. On x64-based systems running the 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Z3TA+ 1.5 users will experience improved processor efficiency. Also, Z3TA+ can now function as a stand-alone instrument in all versions of Windows making it useable in live performance situations. Stand-alone mode functionality works in Windows XP, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Vista, and Windows Vista x64.
Antares has updated its AVOX collection of plug-ins to v1.1.2 on Mac OS X and v1.1.3 on Windows systems. In the Mac OS X update, the copy-protection mechanism has been modified to allow faster instantiation of AVOX plug-ins on some hosts.
The Windows update has this copy protection change, as well as:
— All AVOX VST plug-ins now function correctly in Steinberg Cubase SX 4.
— In the VST version, vendor and plug-in type/category info is now included.
— THROAT and SYBIL can now be instantiated in Adobe Audition.
