Toontrack’s newest release of EZdrummer takes it to version 1.1 and introduces new functionalities, as well as providing essential bug fixes for all users and compatibility for the recently announced EZX-s. Version 1.1 is required if you wish to use Nashville EZX, but is otherwise highly recommended for all users. EZdrummer 1.1 is available for both Intel Mac and PC in VST, AU and RTAS. All users can log into their Toontrack account and access the Software update page to download. Revised documentation is included in the download.
New features in EZdrummer 1.1.0 include:
- User mixer presets containing pan, volume and bleed settings can now be saved
- Half/double tempo switch allows to preview grooves as half time/double time variants
- The position in the groove is now indicated by a blue pointer under the text in the display
- New graphics and scrollbar for MIDI browser allowing unlimited levels to be accessed
- Velocity sweep controls can now be set at 255 different values (doubling resolution)
Native Instruments has just released Battery version 3.0.2. It’s a free download for all registered users. Although this is primarily a bug fix update, it also includes New Template Kits with predefined key ranges included.
MOTU’s excellent Ethno Instrument 1.0 is now shipping as a Universal Binary for Intel Mac, PowerPC Mac, and Windows. In a simultaneous release, Symphonic Instrument version 1.1.2 is now available as a free download on MOTU’s web site for registered users. This maintenance update, provided as a Universal Binary, can be installed on an Intel Mac, PowerPC Mac or Windows computer, and provides numerous enhancements and optimizations.
