Apogee has announced the release of a much-anticipated dual update for their critically acclaimed Symphony PCI-E card driver and Maestro application. The update includes many new features, which include support for Apple’s 8-core Mac Pro and long sought-after Maestro improvements, including the ability to assign both the software and hardware inputs and outputs to multiple hardware outputs. The new installer, which updates the Symphony driver and Maestro application, is now available to registered owners on the company’s web site.
Celemony Software has announced brand-new versions of their popular audio editing applications. The multitrack Melodyne cre8 and Studio are now at version 3.2 and the single-track Melodyne Essential and Uno are at version 1.8. These latest versions offer a number of new playback algorithms, as well as numerous improvements and bug fixes. There’s also a new way of activating the program that users will find far easier. The updates are available free of charge to registered users.
