Sony Creative Software has updated its hugely popular Sound Forge Audio Studio to version 9.0c. This upgrade adds support for LPEC files imported from Digital Voice Editor software. It also adds support for WAV files up to 4GB, so when you select “Allow Wave,” it now renders up to 4GB in the check box on the General page of the Preferences dialog to enable support. Additionally, new keyboard shortcuts have been added: You can now hold Ctrl while dragging in a data window to switch to the Magnify tool temporarily, but you’ll need to select the Allow Ctrl+drag style zoom in data windows check box on the General tab of the Preferences dialog to enable this feature. Antares has announced the release of a maintenance update for its critically acclaimedAuto-Tune 5 AU and TDM (Mac) and VST (PC) plug-ins. The AU version provides improved compatibility with Apple’s Logic 8 software. In addition, all three releases squash a few minor bugs. These are free updates for current Auto-Tune 5 owners.
We just got word that iZotope has released updates to the following Mac and PC plug-ins: Trash and Spectron have been upgraded to version 1.13, while Ozone moves up to version 1.14. Performance and stability have been improved (particularly when used within Pro Tools) and Mac OS X Leopard is now supported.
