Apple has released Pro Applications Update 2008-02, which includes Final Cut Pro version 6.0.4. This update improves reliability for Apple’s professional applications and is recommended for all users of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Server, and Logic Studio. The update addresses overall installation issues, compatibility updates, and general performance issues, along with offering greater stability. When Final Cut Pro users install this update, they will automatically have their copy of Final Cut Pro upgraded to version 6.0.4.
FXpansion has just announced the release of an update for BFD to version 2.0.4.17, and has also released standalone demo versions of BFD for both the Mac and PC platforms. Among the new features users will find in this upgrade are:
- Significantly reduced CPU load and memory footprint
- Drumagog drum replacer support
- Improved compatibility and performance with Mac OS X Leopard

Cycling ’74 has announced the availability of an upgrade to its Max software to version 5.0.3. There is a huge list of both bug fixes and brand-new features for this update.
