Two tech tips for the price of one today, both from our friends at Steinberg.
Be sure to check out the Group Faders in Cubase. For example: If you have recorded each drum on its own track, once you have mixed their relative levels, you can use a group fader to control the volume of your entire drum kit or add some reverb to the group to put them all in the same room all controlled by one fader. Short Cut: To quickly toggle the loop on and off, simply hit the “/” key on the number pad on your computer keyboard.
What do you do if you have been making edits in an editor, and decide that the track sounded better before? Hit “Escape” and a dialog allowing you to discard or keep all edits since entering the editor will appear.
