The Sweetwater Power Translator series is a soundware product family that is designed to take advantage of the incredible samples on several Roland CD-ROM’s (which were developed for their S-7xx series samplers) and allow them to be used with a Kurzweil. Each Power Translator floppy disk has programs that are specifically designed to take advantage of the excellent Roland samples and will pull them directly off of the CD-ROM when they load. From time to time we run into customers who are confused and think they can use a Power Translator disk on more than one Roland CD-ROM. This will not work. The Power Translator floppy identifies and locates CD-ROM files by their exact location on a CD-ROM. As such, the Power Translator Series is unable to work with anything other than the exact CD-ROM it was built for, even if the same instruments are on another CD-ROM collection.
