Sweetwater is seeking an individual to support the technical needs of the company. We are a progressive company that’s computer systems are 90% Apple and we are long-time “Mac Zealots.” This position should be filled by someone who is as passionate about Apple and the Macintosh as we are.
We are also a very large Apple VAR selling the entire Apple line to customers in the music industry.
This position is responsible for providing high-quality, responsive, day-to-day technical support for Macintosh workstations.
Job Duties:
- Perform hardware setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair
- Perform software installation and removal, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Interface between users and vendors to provide quality technical support
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems associated with operating systems, applications, and related peripherals
- Test and install new software releases, system upgrades, and resolve software related problems
- May be subject to respond to after-hours emergency needs
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to take initiative in making improvements and proactively looking for issues
- Ability to quickly assess an issue and identify possible solutions
- College degree or course work in computer science, information systems, or business or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, unstructured, and changing environment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot Apple Macintosh hardware, software and network related issues
