If liquid should be spilled into your gear, don’t panic! Turn it off as quickly as possible. In our experience, the ability of the liquid to short the circuitry rarely does damage, and the unit probably will work fine after drying out. But, even if it does continue working, do not hesitate – immediately take it to a tech for cleaning!
Here’s the real problem: Soda pop, fruit juice, mixed drinks, in short every liquid except pure water or pure alcohol, is full of acids and sugars. These chemicals slowly eat away at the circuitry until the damage is extensive (and expensive).
