Everyone at Digidesign was shocked and saddened by the recent loss of VP of sales and marketing, Christopher Bock. Peter Gotcher, co-founder of Digidesign recalled that Christopher was with the company before it even had a name. “His contributions to our first product, the Digidrums drum chips, played an important role in the success of the product,” Gotcher said. “[This] ultimately provided the early funding for Digidesign.” Bock had recently been transitioning into a new role, helping to take the company in some exciting new directions, including the live sound market. In honor of one of Christopher’s passions, the family has requested donations be made in Bock’s name to his favorite charitable foundations: The Coral Reef Alliance and www.sharkproject.org.
