Well, by that we mean PRS is again producing their hugely popular Singlecut models which include the Singlecut, Singlecut Trem and Singlecut Standard, all of which will be available with the company’s new thin, nitro-cellulose satin finish. These finishes are “love ’em or hate ’em,” but there’s no denying the fact that they don’t get all gooey with fingerprints and smudges, plus they do tend to look more like vintage instruments. The Singlecut Satin has a thicker mahogany body with a maple top, two humbucking pickups and a stop tailpiece while the Singlecut Trem Satin is available with a thinner mahogany body, a maple top and that buttery-smooth PRS trem. Both will be offered in regular, 10-top or Artist grade versions in eight translucent colors. The Singlecut Standard Satin is brand new with a thin, solid mahogany body, set mahogany neck and tremolo or stop tail options. Singlecut Standards are available with humbucking or soapbar pickups in four “Vintage” flavors: Cherry, Mahogany, Orange and Charcoal. All Satin line guitars feature 25-inch scales, bird inlays and a PRS hardshell case at very attractive price points.
