“Test one, two, three. (Tap, tap) Is this thing on?” Okay, pandemonium has broken out here with the news of the release of Digidesign Pro Tools HD 7.0. People are jumping up and down and shouting, “Yippee!” I see party hats and yes, it appears now that a conga line has formed. This crowd is going wild!
The reason for all this jubilation is, of course, the shipping of the much-anticipated Pro Tools HD 7.0 software. This release includes a number of new features.
Pro Tools now works with both REX and ACID audio files, and there are dedicated instrument tracks. There’s also improved host processing efficiency, which allows users to select and run many more RTAS effects and instrument plug-ins simultaneously. There’s tons more new features in this upgrade…we can’t wait to get it installed on our machines!
