PreSonus has just announced their Open Beta Driver Program, which allows users to download and use the latest beta version drivers for their product drivers. The first of these is the new driver, firmware, and Control Console (version 2) for the FireStudio 26×26 24-bit/96kHz FireWire recording system. This driver package for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X “Leopard” increases both overall efficiency and stability, as well as a completely redesigned version of the Control Console DSP mixer/router software that includes a switchable “expanded mix mode” which makes a second bank of ADAT channels available for both mixing and routing.
