Samplitude users: A potential problem arises when VIPs are saved using more then 8 characters. While it is possible to save VIPs from Samplitude using more than 8 characters per filename, Point CDaudio is a 16 bit DOS application and can’t read filenames longer than 8 characters… This means there will be no TOC (Table Of Contents) created for these longer filenames. Bottom line is: Don’t use longer filenames, stick to the regular DOS naming conventions.
