Mac OS X users can easily locate any file quickly by using Spotlight (you’ll see its icon on the far right of the Menu bar at the top of your computer’s desktop). However, it might not be enough to simply locate it; you might want to know where the file specifically resides on your hard drive. Move your cursor (it’s an arrow at this point) over the search result and hold it there – in a few seconds, a tiny dialog box will appear that shows the exact path to your file.
