The good news is that Apple is releasing Mac OS X version 10.6 on Friday, August 28. If you’re like us, you can’t wait to check out all the new features and to explore 64-bit operation.
But…be patient. Making sure audio and music software and hardware is 100% compatible with a new operating system is a time-consuming process.
We recommend either holding off on installing the new OS until you’re sure your favorite hardware and software are compatible, or install the new OS on a different drive or partition from your old OS so you can keep working if the worst happens and your system isn’t entirely compatible.
