The Panner function is available within BIAS Peak Pro 6 under the DSP menu. It allows you to adjust the left-to-right movement of a stereo document by drawing an envelope in the Panner dialog box (Note: Left is at the top of the screen, right is at the bottom). The Panner gives you the option of keeping the overall volume constant, which is particularly important when doing fast pans from side to side. At the top of the Panner dialog box, there is a “Keep Volume Constant” checkbox. When this is enabled, Peak uses logarithmic calculation to determine and maintain volume levels while panning between left and right channels. If the box is not checked, the effect will sound more like tremolo because Peak uses linear calculations, so there will be dips in the audio level when panning from one side to the other.
