Its heritage goes back to 1958, years before the so-called “British Invasion,” but the sound of Vox amps certainly influenced an entirely new generation of guitarists. Now Vox has reintroduced the AC15 in a Custom Classic edition, which combines the distinctive “chime-like” tone of the original Vox line of amps with a number of useful modern features like master volume, global reverb, and tremolo. On the top panel are bass and treble controls plus a single guitar input and the rear panel sports a pair of output jacks (with impedance selector) for connection with external speaker cabinets when required. A VF002 VOX footswitch is included for turning the reverb and tremolo on and off. The AC15CC1 is available with either a Celestion AlNiCo “Blue” Speaker or a specially voiced VOX Custom speaker.
