Owners of the Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL) will be excited to hear that the company is getting set to release Vienna Suite, a brand-new effects bundle that includes eight highly advanced (but easy-to-use) plug-ins for mixing and mastering. These high-precision processors offer full 64-bit audio processing on all major 64-bit and 32-bit host platforms, including Audio Units (Mac OS X), VST (OS X, Windows), and RTAS (OS X). Although the plug-ins will integrate with virtually any host program or DAW, Vienna users will also be able to take advantage of the included expert presets, which have been specifically programmed for use with Vienna Instruments. The eight plug-ins include:
- An equalizer with an integrated 120-band spectrum analyzer and extremely low CPU usage.
- A 4x oversampling master equalizer with three filter types on five bands, plus additional high- and low-shelf filters with two filter types.
- A limiter with real-time input/output waveform display and auto-mode for transparent processing.
- A compressor with both modern and vintage algorithms and a real-time input/output waveform display.
- A multiband limiter with four bands containing transparent crossover filters and a full-range brickwall limiter at the final output stage.
- PowerPan for precise stage positioning of instruments, featuring real-time audio angular analysis.
- A 4x oversampling Exciter with special tone-color sliders, for mixing odd and even harmonics, and a high-frequency FFT spectrum analyzer.
- A 120-band analog-modeled spectrum analyzer for fast and accurate display of bass frequencies, auto mode for automatic range management, and loudest-frequency note display.
