Once upon a time, the M 50 microphone strode the audio world, providing excellent audio for orchestral recording. Now, Neumann’s M 150 Tube takes up the torch, incorporating many of the features of the original in a thoroughly modern microphone.
Just on the heels of our announcement last week that OS 10.1 for Mac is ready for audio and MIDI development the folks at MIDIMan have already announced 10.1 drivers for their M-Audio Delta series interfaces. Man, these guys are FAST. You can download yours from their website. We’ll be doing some testing shortly. Meanwhile if any of you are using them we’d love to hear your feedback.
They are claiming latency as low as 40 samples, which translates to around 1 millisecond. Other features include ASIO 2.0 and legacy ASIO support, MultiCard Mode (for support of up to four cards), MultClient Mode (multiple apps can access one card), MIDI I/O, Hibernate Mode (works with power management), and more.
