Native Instruments announced that, as part of the company’s commitment to Apple‘s new Intel-Mac platform, all future product releases will include “Universal” versions that will take full advantage of this developing new technology, as well as maintaining compatibility with the existing PowerPC-based Macintosh computers. NI is already working on enabling all its current products for use on the upcoming iMac and MacBook Pro computers. Updates will come in the form of either a dedicated Intel-Mac update, which will be available for a small fee, or as part of a major product upgrade that will apply to all platforms.
