A particular virulent strain of nastiness that reaches epidemic proportions at the annual Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California. Each January, during and after the show, the bug attacks and temporarily decimates the ranks of the music industry, sending manufacturers, retailers, press, and sales reps to their beds to recover from flu and cold symptoms in the week following NAMM.
