Not only is Sweetwater expanding, but after more than 15 years here on Bass Road, we’re also moving to a new location – though it’s still right here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company’s explosive growth has us busting at the seams in our current building, which has already been expanded four times in recent years – we’ve taken it about as far as it can go.
The new facility will encompass 150,000 square feet on 44 acres of land! Plenty of room for more staff and more capability to have more inventory ready to ship to you, and for us to serve you faster, more efficiently, and better. There are already more than 220 Sweetwater employees at work here, but at the rate we’re growing, that number is expected to jump to an amazing 450 by 2010.
Construction and the entire process of moving will take approximately one year. In addition to housing Sweetwater’s national sales operation, the new facility will have a state-of-the-art fulfillment center, an expanded retail store, and an advanced technical training center/media-rich auditorium. Our recording studio division will feature new rooms designed by Russ Berger, who has designed more world-class studios than anyone we know!
