In response to our recent tip on keyboard “Wall Wart” (see WFTD Wall Wart) power supplies (TTOTD 5/21/98), inSync reader Gary G. suggests using (making) a small 18″ (or less) extension cord to connect wall warts to power strips. Otherwise the power supplies can sometimes cover up as many as three outlets each. The extension cords move the bulky wall warts away from the power strip so all the outlets are available.
Another solution is to buy a power strip designed to accommodate these wall wart supplies. There are a variety of models to choose from these days. Contact your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for details.
