Following up on our SCSI noise question (see inSync 5/3/99) our friend John in Computer Services at Los Medanos College, CA adds that SCSI noise can sometimes be eliminated by disconnecting the LED that shows SCSI activity. These LED’s can produce noise that is not filtered and thus can bleed into audio systems (usually through the SCSI wiring). If you can live without the LED showing SCSI activity this is at least worth a try.
