Malcolm McLaren Passes

Malcolm McLaren, English musician/performer and impresario, passed away on April 8, 2010. McLaren was perhaps best know as the manager of the Sex Pistols; he was also the manager for Adam and the Ants and Bow Wow Wow, among other groups. He was extremely influential in the burgeoning punk scene of the late ’70s, and later in bringing hip-hop to England with his album Duck Rock. He released a total of 16 albums and 18 singles, as well as creating music for television and film. His other activities included competing in reality shows, creating sound paintings, producing films and TV shows, writing articles, and designing clothing (including costumes for the New York Dolls).
