Back on December 27, we reported that a free update for registered Ableton Live 5 users was available (version 5.0.3). At that point, we had no list of fixes or features. Fortunately, our eagle-eyed inSync readers uncovered the following information, a partial list of the 5.0.3 changes, fixes and features:
- (OSX) Better support for hot plugging of audio interfaces.
- (Win) A new preference that enables the System file cache to read files from hard disk.
- Improved GUI performance when any a Mackie Control device is selected in Live’s MIDI preferences.
- Improved GUI performance when selecting a scene or a track in the Session view.
- Reduced memory usage by up to 25% (depending upon function).
- Improved MIDI input timing accuracy.
- Improved Warper performance.
