TapeOpCon 2007 is going back to the mountains and desert of Tucson, Arizona and the beautiful Hilton El Conquistador. Tape Op Magazine’s 6th Annual Conference kicks off this Friday, June 8th and runs through Sunday, June 10th. If you’re planning on attending, make sure you drop by the Sweetwater booth and say hello. Several of our brilliant Sales Engineers and Tech Support staff will be on the numerous discussion panels that will be taking place on all three days. What’s more, Sweetwater will be sponsoring Friday’s main Producer’s Panel, which will be moderated by our Editorial Director, Mitch Gallagher.
Tape Op is planning a full slate of recording tips and tricks at the PotLuck Studio all weekend long and this year, there will be a live mastering workshop where you can hear exactly what professional mastering can do to add polish to your recordings. The workshop program runs the gamut from studio recording techniques to practical business advice. There’s also a live outdoor concert planned for Saturday night featuring Calexico, Devotchka, and a solo performance by John Vanderslice. But that’s not all! On Friday night the plan is to head downtown after the Producer’s Panel to Club Congress and the Rialto Theater for a New Orleans night of music and food with the Rebirth Brass Band and other exciting performers. All in all, this year’s conference is guaranteed to both educate and entertain, plus there’ll be lots of opportunities for networking. Hope to see you there!
