A video term used to describe minute location changes (generally two or three frames) in a video. Jogging is the process of using a “jog wheel” to control a tape machine’s transport for moving the tape back and forth the small distance required to find an exact location, usually to make some kind of edit. In many cases the jog wheel can also be used as a shuttle control on tape machines, but this function is very different from jogging.
