How to Extend a Sample Library Glissando

Q: I use a string library and I need a way to “stretch out” the glissando. I create two tracks when I use this technique. The first track is the glissando, and the second track is the remaining string part that the glissando moves into. How can I extend the first track to make the glissando longer?

A: The answer depends on whether the individual notes in the glissando are being created by separate MIDI notes or if the glissando consists of one single sample. If it consists of separate MIDI notes, you could spread them out to slow the glissando down and extend it, or lengthen the notes to add sustain at the end of the glissando.

If the glissando is a single audio sample, you would time stretch it to make it longer.
