Seems Glyph has gone nuts with the FireWire – and that’s a good thing! First up is the ADV-FW, a very cool FireWire Controller card for Mac or PC that lets you connect up to 63 devices. Also just in is the DualFire kit, a CD burner and 20 GB hard drive for Mac and PC.
BIAS has released version 2.6 of their Peak TDM audio editing software for Pro Tools (Mac). The new version is fully compatible with DAE 5.1 and Mac OS 9.1. In addition to TDM plug-ins, Peak TDM also supports VST plug-ins, and includes BIAS’ brand new Vbox SE, a VST plug-in control environment which allows for control of an unlimited number of plug-ins from one convenient and easy to use window. Vbox SE allows you to run as many VST effects as your system can handle, and has wet/dry mix control, independent in/out levels, as well as independent level controls for each plug-in module. You can run plug-ins in series, in parallel, or any combination of the two.
