Gibson ES-335

The Gibson ES-335, was the first commercial thinline archtop semi-acoustic electric guitar. Released in 1958, it was distinguished from fully hollow or fully solid guitars by being hollow with a solid maple wood block running through the center of the body. The sides are hollow with two f-holes over the hollow chambers. The various appointments of the models can change, but the maple body, two humbucking pickups, three-way pickup toggle, mahogany set neck with 24.75″ scale, three-by-three tuning key arrangement, and rosewood fingerboard remain the same.
