Always looking for cool little ways to make musicians’ lives more fun, the folks at Propellerhead Software have released a free Moog-Inspired Refill that’s available to all registered users. What’s more, the company also announced it has recently made a donation to the Bob Moog Foundation, although the amount was not disclosed. Propellerhead is looking to pay tribute to the man who played a huge role in changing the way contemporary music was both created and performed. The Moog Foundation’s overall mission is to document, celebrate, and teach innovative thinking, and to support as well as honor the amazing legacy of Bob Moog for his pioneering work with synthesis and helping to bring the technology into the mainstream.
Reason users Craig Anderton, Mark Vail, and Gordon Reed have all donated their finest Moog-style patches, created using Reason’s Thor polyphonic synthesizer. The patches have all been assembled into a single Reason Refill that is available as a free download on the Propellerhead web site. If you own Reason, you gotta go and grab these patches now!
