Apogee is bringing better digital audio to the world through two great new converters. The AP8AD and AP8DA are A/D and D/A converter cards designed for Yamaha systems that include YGDAI and “Mini-Y” expansion slots, such as the 02R, 03D, D24, PM1D, and the soon to be released AW4416 workstation. The cards are capable of 24-bit conversion at sample rates up to 96 kHz and each occupies a single slot.

Looking for a hardware sequencer? Roland has always been at the top of this game. The MC50 and MC50MKII models have represented the state of the art for nearly a decade. Now they have the MC80, and it is a killer machine, but it also carries a retail price of $1295. If you have the dough this is definitely the machine you want, but if you’re on a tight budget we do still have a limited quantity of the now discontinued MC50MKII machines left for the low price of $549.97. We’ve also recently lowered the price of several other Roland models, including the A90EX, RD100, RD600, DJ1000, ME30, and more. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for details.
