Steinberg has announced version 4 of their popular Cubase DAW software, along with a “streamlined” sister product Cubase Studio 4. Cool new features include a universal sound manager called SoundFrame, enhanced score and notation features, Instrument Tracks, a re-designed user interface, ControlRoom, which suports four monitor mixes, speaker selection, talkback, etc., plus there are over 30 new VST plug-ins, including StudioEQ, Cloner, AmpSimulator, Multiband Compressor, and more, and three new VSTi synths: Prologue, Spector, and Mystic.
Cubase 4 and Cubase Studio 4 support both Mac and Windows, including Intel Macs. Look for it to ship in October.
