Boss’ PH-3 makes a pretty effective simulated rotating speaker, if you know how. The PH-3 Phase Shifter has a Tap Tempo mode that allows the phase rate to be changed in real-time by tapping in the tempo with the pedal. You could use this, for example, to simulate a rotating speaker going from slow speed to fast speed.
Here’s how:
1. Press and hold the pedal down for two seconds. This engages the Tap Tempo mode.
2. Tap the pedal four times in tempo. The PH-3 will automatically change the phaser speed to this tempo.
3. Tap in a new tempo to change the rate again.
